Thyroid condition.?

I have had a thyroid condition for 4 years. I have never seen an Endocrinologist and my family doctor has never told me to see one. Should I go to see an Endo doctor, or should I just stay on the same regimine I’ve been on for the past 4 years?

thyroid condition?

Okay…my mom, 2 sisters, a grandma, grandpa nad aunt all have thyroid conditions. I had mine tested last june and it came back normal. I am still experiencing the same symptoms and they are getting worse. My hair is getting more fine and falling out. Im constantly tired and have no energy. Ive been having loose stools almost everytime i eat for the last couple of weeks. I also am losing weight although I have not changed my eatting habits.

Is it time to get my thyroid checked again or could it be something else? Any Advice?

Recurrent Thyroid condition?

A year ago I went to the doctor with a list of symptoms that could have been copied from the definition of Hypothyroidism. These are symptoms I have had off and on for as long as I can remeber, often at times of great stress. I asked my doctor to be tested for hypothyroidism, he obviously hated me for trying to diagnose myself. He said I was likely just anemic. He tested both, surprise surprise, I wasn’t anemic, but my thyroid test was sufficiently abnormal to warrant a retest. By the time I had the retest, 30 days later, I was feeling better and my test was normal.

My question is: Is there a condition that causes hypothyroidism, or symptoms similar to hypothyroidism, that wax and wane as mine do?

How many ppl believe a thyroid condition?

can be the SOLE reason for obesity? Inspired by Isa Bella’s response.
Again I’m just asking a simple question, not insinuating anything.
@Bunny, THANK U!
@Neo, don’t answer any of my questions unless u unblock me!!!
@jeebreeze, what the hell does this have to do w/ race? STFU
@Isa Bella, all i was trying to say is i have a hard time believing a thyroid problem is the SOLE reason 4 obesity. i understand there can be other problems w/ one’s health, but i tend to notice obese ppl don’t try to exercise like they should. walking is a start, but it’s not enough. STFU= shut the f.u.c.k up. it was directed at jeebreeze not u! 🙂

What to do about thyroid condition?

Had several tests done on thyroid, was told multifunctional, and have a graves thyroid, but not graves disease. I took Methimazole for 3 months. Tests are now showing low normal, so was taken off meds, edno told me to come back in three months to see how I am feeling. I tried to explain to him that I am tired and have no motivation. I have been walking and dieting for several months, but still have not lost a pound, but gained water weight. My skin has went from moist to extremely dry, nails are still brittle, severe constipation. But on a good note, I am not having night sweats and am sleeping better. He told me I sound depressed because of my weight and should go to my family phyician, who is saying it is my thyroid. Has anyone been through this? Not sure what my next step should be. Does your thryoid have anything to do with sinus and staying plugged up all the time?
The endocrinologist told me that I have a graves thyroid, I had 2 hot spots, but the rest of my thyroid is sleeping. So, he put me on Methimazole and was on it for 3 months. My last blood test was on the low normal. He made the comment that women blame their thyroid for their weight. It not only is my weight but all the other symptoms I am feeling. I have been to my family doctor, who sent me to an ENT, then onto the Endo. I am going to do some more research on a new Endocrinologist.
