Is anyone else taking Synthroid for a Thyroid condition?

How long did it take to start working? Did your energy ever come back to normal?
I’ve been taking this medicine for nearly 3 years now. They’ve really played with my dosage (especially during my pregnancy last year). However, just when I was feeling better they did a test and my TSH level was 0 so they dropped my dosage, now I feel like crap again. Is anyone using natural supplements in addition to Synthroi.

? I think I have a thyroid condition that's causing hair shedding………….?

I think that’s it…My hair grows like water and is in good condition, I had a little over an inch cut a week ago and the stylist made several comments on the condition of my hair but it’s shedding and has been doing so for over a year…I don’t see what else it could be this isn’t typical in my blood line, I was born with thick hair and even my Grandmother has thick hair still…What do you’ll think…have you ever been through this and found out the reason for shedding…what can cause shedding please list some things before i go make an appointment…has anyone ever discovered that they had a thyroid condition causing shedding?

Internal ultrasound to check for thyroid condition?

Yesterday morning I had an internal ultrasound where the doctor placed a camera into my vagina to see if I had a thyroid condition before putting my on the Pill. I experienced discomfort during the exam as she was moving the camera around.

Last night, I had severe pain in my pelvic area and this morning, I started bleeding as if I were getting my period. My period just ended last monday so I know it’s not actually my period.

I did however take the Plan B pill on Tuesday after having sex.

What could be the cause of this bleeding? Could it be from the exam or a side effect of Plan B?

I have always been a healthy weight. in august i was told i have hashimotos which is pretty much hypothyroidism. ive gained almost 10 lbs since i started taking levothyroxine. granted some of the weight is probably due to eating habits over the holidays and what not but usually i can bounce back. this is the heaviest ive ever been i hate and am disgusted with myself im getting really depressed and don’t even want to be seen in public. i joined the gym and have been eating as healthy but it seems like ive been gaining MORE weight. how do i loose the 10 lbs and do you think it’s from my meds?

Seniors, how many of you have been diagnosed with a thyroid condition?

Both my parents developed hypothyroidism late in life, and after they had been placed on a lot of medication. The same has happened to my son who is 30, as he takes a lot of meds. Have you found that after taking many prescription medications that it has caused thyroid problems for you?
Edg1, my mom had the very same neuropathy condition. I understand completely. She suffered miserably.
