thyroid cause this?

the past 2 mounths i have been drinking a lot of water and have been constipated every other day and o diahrea. i have not seen a doctor about this buti take nexium and when i have applejuice i go to the bathroom fine. and i have dry skin. Could this be as a result of a proble with my thyroid. i heard it was but wanted opinion i already understand i should see a doctor
