Home Remedies For Pink Eye And Cough?

I just came back from the doctor and apparently I have an eye and throat infection. My eye was normal yesterday, but this morning I woke up and my eye was really red. I’ve also been coughing for a week exact. He prescribed some eyedrops and such, but I was wondering if there are any home remedies to cure a pink eye and/ or a cough
