Costs of thyroid medication?

Does anyone know how much thyroid medications for severe thyroid deficiency issues cost without insurance? I am trying to decide if I should try to get health insurance because I desperately need to see a doctor for a thyroid condition and a possible stomache ulcer, but if the insurance is going to cost more each month than the prescription, then it’s kind of useless for me to get the insurance right now. I just need a ballpark figure, doesn’t have to be precise, just an idea of how much roughly it might cost me to get the medication.
