I’ve had mild colitis for 10 years. I am now 35 yrs old. I have regular exams to keep a close eye on things. Having colitis does increase your risk of cancer. But now I’m findingout that both my mother & father have a history of polyps. Dr. says this increase my risk of cancer even more. How high of a risk could I really be at?
I was just informed that my cholesterol is extremely high. Other than meds how can I lower my cholesterol. For instance what kinds of foods are good or bad.
I would like to read up on some articles that show that there is clinical proof that a certain natural supplement has been proven to reduce or treat ANXIETY. Does anyone know where I can find such an article and know of any natural supplements that do actually reduce anxiety?? ( I don’t have depression, just anxiety.)
hello, i’ve had PCOS since I was 15 years old, i’m 20 now. I’ve done everything the doctors said to alleviate it, I lost weight (from being obese at 225 to healthy for being 5 7 at 150). I’ve taken many types of oral contraceptives (all to no avail, i would continue bleeding, and they didnt lead to ovulation, which is what I want). I wont have a period for up to 5 months, and when I do get one, it last anywhere from a month to 6 months, my last cycle started thanksgiving and didnt stop until april. What finally stopped it was femaprin, (a natural pill made of vitex and b6), 4 days after taking it my period stopped. since then I had 1 normal 4 day period in april, and since then I had not had a period again. I stopped taking femaprin in the beginning of august, by the 10th I was bleeding again, and I am still bleeding today. Is there anything I can do to make my body ovulate naturally. Femaprin worked than one time, but I want something that will regulate my body consistently. About my pcos- my fsh/lh levels are actually normal, i’m not sure about my estrogen levels though. lol xstary, I cant tell you how many times i’ve been to the ER, How many times ive been to different gyno’s. The answer is always the same, keep taking birth control, don’t worry about ovulating, you dont need to have kids right now, etc etc..
Toxic multinodular goiter, normal blood work but having symptoms?
My doctor keeps saying that my blood work shows everything is normal and to re check in 6 months. I have a fairly large toxic multinodular goiter on the left side way down at the bottom, near my collerbone. I did the fine needle biopsy (inconclusive), thyroid ultrasound, and uptake scan. The scan showed is was for sure a hot nodule. My doc is waiting around for me to become hyperthyroid before doing to radioactive iodine treatment. Problem is..within the last month I am having many hyperthyroid symptoms. Palipatations, high resting heart rate, extreme fatigue, frequent bowel movements, sweating, nervousness, and i also have horseness on and off during the day. But as of last week my TSH, T3 and T4 still show in the "normal range".
Now my primary care doc has put me on atenolol for the heart issues.
Why would my blood work be normal yet im having symptoms?
I don’t go normally to the restroom and feel that i should get cleaned out. Im also wanting to loose some weight.
I been dancing since I was 3 years and been working out for the past 5 years. I know how to loose weight and am not quit sure where I said get in shape. I just want to know of anyone that has done a colon cleanser and which one really works.
