Cholesterol is a type of fat called a lipid. It’s used in the production of hormones and bile acids to help digest fat and build healthy cell membranes (walls) in the brain, nerves, muscles, skin, liver, intestines, and heart.
Your liver makes the cholesterol that your body needs. You also get cholesterol from the foods you eat.

Your body needs some cholesterol. But if you have too much, it starts to build up in your arteries. (Arteries are the blood vessels that carry blood away from the heart.) This is called hardening of the arteries, or atherosclerosis. It is usually a slow process that gets worse as you get older.

To find out more about cholesterol, its use, the healthy blood levels, the different types and how to control it please read the article below.

  • Cholesterol is a soft, waxy substance found among the lipids (fats) in the bloodstream and in all your body’s cells. It’s an important part of a healthy body because it’s used to form cell membranes, some hormones and is needed for other functions. But a high level of cholesterol in the blood — hypercholesterolemia — is a major risk factor for coronary heart disease, which leads to heart attack.

the fat scam is making pharma rich and making us dumber than dumb.

I am eating a mostly ketogenic diet plan with mostly good saturated fats. My cholesterol numbers went to the highly idealized normals without the meds or giving up any of my favorite foods like whole milk, butter and the fattier steaks!
