Are there natural remedies for PCOS?
My sister was diagnosed with Poly cystic ovary syndrome at age 25. She was diagnosed after having increasingly irregular periods since the age of sixteen, and had a golf ball-sized cyst rupture on her right ovary. The doctor recommended birth control, she said it causes her to gain weight and feel sick. I’m concerned because I took the pill for about two years and it messed me up to the point that I had to get off it, and I had to have surgery. I have taken herbal remedies for less severe hormonal problems in the past, and wonder if there are any remedies out there for someone like her?
Definitely the herb chasteberry tree (Vitex Agnus castus) is recommended to helps stimulate and normalise the function of the pituitary gland and balances out estrogen and progesterone and normalise prolactin levels. More information on the link>>> http://www.ovarian-cysts-pcos.com/vitex.html
PCOS is also found to be linked to vitamin D deficiency. "According to the latest research on vitamin D, presented at the American Society for Reproductive Medicine conference in San Francisco, women with ovulation problems or PCOS were far more likely to be lacking in vitamin D than the other women." >>>http://www.pcosspot.com/2008/11/does-vitamin-d-deficiency-cause-pcos.html
Good idea to have vitamin D level checked. More info about tests to request, recommended IU daily and optimal vitamin D levels>>> http://www.vitamindcouncil.org/

Tell her to see a professional Homeopath. Homeopathy can successfully regulate hormone levels and eliminate the cause of the cysts. The younger the patient the better.
No.
PCOS is a serious medical condition, and your sister needs REAL medical treatment. NOT homeopathic hocus pocus from Internet witch doctors.
