Most states .. like Minnesota .. offer their own State plan that is managed by Blue Cross or another company .. the more deductible you can afford.. (the more you can pay out of pocket before the insurance kicks in ) .. the cheaper the insurance will be for you. If you are on welfare .. or very poor .. there may be other options available to you in your community. Try calling 211 and ask for help with this. Good Luck ! 🙂
At your age, you should not have serious health issues. For that reason, I would look for insurance that will take care of serious bills. Perhaps a $1,000 or $2,000 deductible.
Are you a college student? Check with your campus health department. They probably will have a good deal?
Are you low income? Check with your state or county to see if they have a low priced health insurance plan.
Otherwise, try the internet insurance sites like ehealthinsurance.com for programs that are available.
