Question about Colon Cleanz?

I bought Colon Cleanz at the store and on the directions it says to not use for more than 7 consecutive days or while you are menstrating. If it’s just herbs and leaves and roots then why can’t I take it for more than 7 days in a row or while I’m on my period?

Colon Cleanz is bad news. It’s a laxative and because it contains some herbs does not make it a good product. A good product can be taken for long periods of time without any harm to the body. A much better approach than "Colon Cleanz" is to go to the health food store and buy some Psylium Husks. It comes in a very fine powder like form and has only little nut taste to it. Take a heaping teaspoon of that in the morning and one at night. You can do this for as long as you like and it will gently lift the debris from the colon and you will become very regular for a very cheap price. If you find your stools are too loose, just cut back on the amounts.

The key is to drink a lot of water when you do this or any cleanse. If you don’t drink a lot of water, it can have the opposite effect.

If you find yourself very constipated and need to have a movement, you should do the Salt Flush. Salt cleanses the colon because toxins attach to the salt and it can be easily removed. Take 2 tsp. of salt and put it in 32 oz. of water. Drink the solution and lie down on your right side for about 1/2 hour on your bed. You should have a movement within 30 minutes to 1 hour.

    good luck to you

  • It is essentially a laxative. Taking a laxative will clear out your intestinal tract, but abusing it will cause you to suffer nutritionally. Your bowel and intestines are there for a reason. They are that long for a reason. From the time your food is digested by your stomach and begins its journey through the intestines your body is pulling out nutrients. Having a good cleanse can clear out stuff that has been backed up for a while, but for the most part, that stuff is supposed to be there.

If you take it for too long you will begin to starve. Your body won’t get the nutrients that it needs. Your bone mass can diminish and muscles can deteriorate.

Also if you do it too often, your body will think its not doing a good enough job at hanging on to that stuff and will make extra. Now you’ve got a problem.

During your period your body needs extra iron. If it doesn’t have access to the resources that are held in your bowel, you can become anemic which can make you very weak.

Push come to shove, eating yogurt with live enzymes in it once in a while and having a diet high in fiber is generally all anyone needs to maintain their intestinal balance and keep it from not behaving.

Will it help in weight loss, yes, at first. think about it. Your body naturally hangs on to up to 20 pounds of "stuff" in there. It belongs there. By expelling it, you will be up to 20 pound lighter… you won’t be thinner, you certainly won’t be healthier, and from that moment on it will just grow back.

You should never under estimate the power of what you describe of just Herbs and leaves. Many pharmaceuticals are made up of these very compounds, as they are the base materials to make medicine out of. Just like anything else, it is wise to have a controlled regimen of what you put into your body. Colon Cleanz will do just that, as to what it was designed to do. You will spend a fair share of time in the bathroom, and one week gives you a heck of a lot of time,to cleanse your colon. As to why you should not be using it during your menstrual cycle is, the chance is given of contamination with e-coli bacteria, since it could enter your bloodstream, as your are like an open vessel during these days. Just do what the instructions say and you should be fine. Dont self medicate, since you could more harm, than good.
