I am trying to lose weight using the acai berry and colon cleanse any tips?

I haven’t always been overweight but now it’s starting to affect my health unfortunately… because my family has a history of diabetes. I signed up for the free trial of the Acai Berry and Colon Cleanse because of all the commercials and I want to know any input if it works. I haven’t gotten the pills yet but I’m hoping I can lose at least 50lbs… and it’s not bad for my health to lose this weight it’s mandatory!

    This isn’t going to work.
    Unless there really is 50lbs of fecal matter stuck in your colon. Then you really are full of it. Lol.
    If you wanted to do something for your colon health then just take some psyllium husk (metamucil) daily as directed on the package.
    If you want to lose weight and try to avoid diabetes then diet and exercise. If it was easy we would all be lean and healthy.

    Yes, I have a tip.

    Lose weight by creating a caloric deficit, or eating food that is less high in calories, and burn more calories that before by exercising more.
    Then, your body will use it stores of fat that you have piled on with your current diet + your inactivity, and you will lose weight.

    There is no other way. You will continue to yo-yo and damage your health until you learn that for yourself. I’m helping you out by telling you before you wind up discouraged, depressed, and still fat.

  • i did the master cleanse for a few days and i know for those days i was really healthy. i think any kind of colon cleanses are going to help so much, as long as you stick to the diet. you should check out the master cleanse site and see all the input there from people who have done it.

    UMM I tried everything under the sun to loose weight. I did lose weight just to gain it all back. I think the key to losing weight is to make some life style changes. If you loose the 50lbs you want to by using colon cleanse, will you be likely to keep it off? the answer is no, because you have not learned how to take care of your body. I think as much as you don’t want to (and I didn’t either) but learning to eat right and exercise at least 10 mins a day. Nothing fancy just walk cuz I know that I could never keep up with the skinny chics on the DVDs. So I walked in 2 weeks I felt stronger and then I added more. So far in one month I have lost 20 pounds just by making simple changes.

    I honestly think that pills are bad and taking them may make you lose some weight, but will not inprove your health.

    I suggest trying a natural detox like the Whole Body Cleanse, they sell them at wal mart for 20 bucks, and start from there. Plus watch your credit card, i’ve seen where these people kept getting billed and billed even after tehy canceled.

    Protip: 99.99% of the stuff you see on television is 99.9% bullcrap. Acai Berry and Colon Cleanse are part of this crapfest.

    Concerning Acai berry:
    Acai berries are just ordinary berries like blueberries or rasberries. They have minor health benefits just like other berries. However, some greedy man started spreading rumors that Acai berries are some sort of wonder food and now there is this huge explosion of Acai products. Acai berries are just another fad, and people will stop buying them once they realize what a ripoff they are. (Also, if Acai berry actually worked, Oprah would not be a 200lb whale)

    Concerning Colon Cleanse:
    Wtf? Unless specifically ordered by your own physician (or lover, tehe), to cleanse your colon, don’t use Colon Cleanse. Your colon doesn’t need to be damn cleanse. It’s going to be a little dirty because that’s where shit comes out of. A slightly dirty colon never killed anybody. How far do you think the human species would have gotten if our bodies did not have natural mechanisms to self-detoxify and self-cleanse? Not very long, I’ll tell you that. Any weight lost with Colon Cleanse will actually be just water weight (which will be put back on the second you drink some water).

    You can, with proper diet and exercise, but not with pills. Stop relying on pills to do a job they can’t do when your own body can do it perfectly.

    I’m not arguing against that. I’m arguing against trying to lose weight with stupid ways like Acai Berry or Colon Cleanse.

    To lose fat:
    1. DON’T BELIEVE THOSE FAD DIETS! DIET PILLS ARE GIMMICKS! Yes, Acai berries/pills/juice is a fad diet.
    2. DO NOT STARVE YOURSELF! Unless you are 4ft tall, a 1,200 calorie a day diet is DANGEROUS and won’t work in the long run.
    3. Calculate your BMR. Do a google search. A good calculator would ask for your age, height, weight, and activity level.
    4. Eat healthy and eat about 500 calories a day less than your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR). Your BMR is how many calories you need per day to maintain your current weight.
    5. Eat 5-6 small meals a day. This keeps your metabolism up. Each meal should include fruits, veggies, water, and protein.
    5. Drink at least 64oz (8 8oz glasses) of water a day. No soda (that includes diet soda).
    6. Do light/moderate cardio 3 to 5 times a week for 30 to 45 minutes each time. Running, bicycling, and swimming are great for this.
    7. Do some strength training to make sure you lose fat and not muscle. Don’t worry; you won’t look like the hulk if you lift weights.
    8. You should lose about 1-2lbs (.45-.9kg) per week. If you lose more than that, chances are the rest is stool, water weight, or even muscle mass.
    9. Weigh yourself only once a week at the same time (ie every Friday morning). Your weight fluctuates a lot during any 24hour period because of water and food intake and also bowel movements.
    Be patient and be smart. If you follow this guideline you will be very happy with your results.

    Try drinking goji juice everyday after breakfast and go for a 10 – 20 minute walk a day. The goji juice will help your body to lose fat instead of storing it. Walking everyday will help to rev up your metabolism so you can be burning calories when doing nothing. Keep a positive attitude and try to only eat healthy food (you know what I mean). To lose 50 lbs. is a big challenge but you’ll be glad you did so the sooner you get into a healthy eating mode the better.     there are many supplement colon cleansing scams out there that sell you supplement with little or no active ingredients. If your not losing weight it BECAUSE your supplement is a FAKE!     There’s only one way to lose weight.

    1. Find out how many calories it takes to maintain your current weight. (Weigh yourself for one week, while keeping track of your daily calorie intake. If you have not lost or gained any weight, that’s the number)

    2. Reduce that number of calories for your daily intake.

    3. Exercise to burn off additional calories.

    4. Drink lots and lots of water.

    If you still want to try the acai berry fad, go to http://www.acai-diet.us and buy the pills directly instead of signing up for a free trial. There’s no such thing as a free trial. Once they have your credit card, it’s over. You won’t be able to stop them from charging your card every month.

    I have used the intra colon cleanse from the site bellow. I cant say i have lost tons of weight i have however only been taking it a few weeks. It seems to help. If anything it has given me tons of energy so now i actually work out so in the long run it is helping me loose weight.
