do you need cholesterol?

where that I mean do you need to eat foods with cholesterol in order for your body to function? I know that your body produces cholesterol naturally, so could you go without it from foods?

  • When you consume cholesterol the type of cholesterol that your body can make is improved. It’s a bit like getting the right building materials rather than substandard materials.

It turns out that when we eat butter we produce "soft fluffy" LDL cholesterol. When we avoid fats we produce more "small dense" LDL cholesterol. They both get measured as LDL cholesterol by the soft fluffy type is benign. The small dense stuff causes heart disease.

So you want to eat saturated fat and cholesterol in order to be heart healthy.

No one can live without it. 80% of your cholesterol is made by your body. When your cholesterol is too low, you’ll start having memory problems. I don’t think it’s a good idea for drug companies to do their own research. Do you know who did the research that says that people should take an aspirin every day ? Bayer.

"What is cholesterol and where does it come from?

Cholesterol is a waxy substance that comes from two sources: your body and food. Your body, and especially your liver, makes all the cholesterol you need and circulates it through the blood. But cholesterol is also found in foods from animal sources, such as meat, poultry and full-fat dairy products. Your liver produces more cholesterol when you eat a diet high in saturated and trans fat" American Heart Association
