are bananas bad for high cholesterol?

I have been told by my doctor that i have high cholesterol, and I just want to know if bananas are bad for high colesterol?

    No. Lots of sugar is bad for high cholesterol but fruits are the exception. Bananas actually have something called phytosterols, which are a type of plant cholesterol that helps to block the absorption of dietary cholesterol (animal cholesterol). Sterols and stanols are also available as a supplement.

  • Nope they are not bad for you. Potassium is said to help lower bad cholesterol levels. You can get Potasssium by eating bananas, broccoli, potatoes, and tomatoes. Do not tak epotassium supplements without the approval of your doctor
