i made a lemon tart mix using sugar lemon juice and zest and is screamy citrus help?

i couldnt find the magnificent Bill grainger lemon tart receipe i used before and got this one from bbc food.Its so strong/over sweet and acidic i cant use it its horrible.i used 6floz boiling water caster sugar lemon zest and juice of x2 lemons and cornflour plus 1 egg yolk to make this-what can i do with it now? could i turn it into lemon icecream? or add more eggs plus whites to improve it?


  • I would try making a vanilla custard & mixing it with the lemon to dilute the flavor

  • You could combine small amounts of it with ice cream in the blender, like a shake.
