Possible Colon Tearing?

Months ago I noticed a slight popping feeling in my lower left abdominal side while I was pushing to go to the bathroom. Since then I’ve noticed random blood in my stool that is bright red which I assume signifies the problem is close to my rectum. I also had a period where I was constipated for awhile but was normal for a while after. This last week I have had an upset stomach and was pushing hard to go to the bathroom. I had blood in my stool this morning, but my side hurts more now than it ever did before. Not excruciating but highly uncomfortable. I don’t have health insurance right now so I’m not sure when I can see a doctor. I assume I tore part of my colon and it’s leaking blood into my stool when I go to the bathroom. Is there something I can do to help heal by myself or should I seek medical attention?

You just have a slight tear on your anus or near your anal sphincter or just a hemmorhoid. If you had a tear in your colon you would be very sick as that is a serious problem that requires immediate surgical intervention. Bowel perforation almost always becomes septic (systemic bloodstream infection) quickly because of all the bacteria that is in your digestive tract and nowhere else in the body. I would suggest not straining anymore when you are passing your stool because that is not natural and is the cause of your problem in its entirety. Just relax when you go number 2 and your body will do the rest of the work.

If it is extremely irritating, just rub some preparation H on your rear end. It also comes with an applicator to apply it inside your anus. Just follow the directions on the box and you will be fine.

I think you might have put this in the wrong category unless you’re the first man to get a period.

If I were you I would! You need to go and get this checked out before it gets worse or something.
