What type of transport for cholesterol

What type of transport does cholesterol need to enter the plasma membrane? facilitated? receptor-mediated endocytosis?

    – Cholesterol enters cytosol by receptor mediated endocytosis

    – in the form of LDL (Low Density Lipoprotein) particles containing chlesterol

    – Then, it is intergrated into plasma membrane/ other biomembranes by special channels
