Coconut oil & cholesterol?
I know coconut oil has a lot of cholesterol in it…if I use coconut oil on my skin will it cause my cholesterol level to go up? Or only if I eat it.
Thanks

Don’t worry about the cholesterol you ingest – most of it is digested and excreted as waste. The cholesterol you’re thinking of is produced by the body in response to damage being done to the interior of the artery walls. This cholesterol is produced to act like a patch or band-aid to protect tiny cuts and abrasions that could peel away and lead to an embolism in the brain or other major organ.
These cuts and abrasions are the result of thickened acidic blood brought on by dehydration.
Increase your water and salt intake and you shouldn’t need to worry about elevated cholesterol levels.
