could i have colon cancer?

Im very worried.2 weeks ago i was diagnosed with enlarged prostate. The urologist did a PSA,blood work, and a rectal exam. All came back fine.
But since then i have had a change in my bowels and constant upper stomach pain. Some uneasy feelings in stomach.
I went to hospital because i was scared 4 days ago. They did a cat scan of my belly and pelvis, did blood work, and urine sample. All was good. All it showed was the enlarged prostate, along with constipation. They feel the prostate is pushing on my rectum, causing pain and constipation??
They gave me a laxative to use at home.Ive had several bowel movements in the past 3 days. The pain in stomach is gone. The stools are like marbles though.
But when i have a bowel movement,it feels like i have to go again, but cant.
My stools are black and brown.
Im worried i have colon cancer because of my bowel changes and black and brown stool.
Im having a colonoscopy next week.
If i have upper stomach pain,is that a sign of colon cancer?Or is it a GI issue?
Im 50 and in good health.I dont drink or smoke and no history of colon cancer in my family.

  • Colon cancer is cancer of the large intestine (colon), the lower part of your digestive system. Rectal cancer is cancer of the last 6 inches of the colon. Together, they’re often referred to as colorectal cancers. The purpose of this community is to discuss Colon related issues on the web at http://www.coloncancer.bz

    Hi,

Don’t worry, just calm down and I don’t think you’ve colon cancer. I think it’s GI issue.

You need to drink plenty of mineral water, high fibers but with low fat, take supplements, cinnamon, and regular exercise.

    Get well soon!
