How does frying give you high cholesterol?

My canola oil in the kitchen says it has 0 mgs cholesterol. So I’m confused…I know I’m not supposed to fry with it because frying gives you high cholesterol. But how does that work when the oil itself has no cholesterol in it?

The cholesterol comes from the meat that is being fried, especially if it has any fat on it. Canola oil has no "Saturated fats" which are the cause of weight gain and cholesterol build ups.
