    The best way to lower cholesterol is to stop eating excess calories. When we eat too much, a byproduct of metabolizing all that excess is endogenous (home made) cholesterol. It accounts for much more than eating eggs or any other food.

    Eating nuts is a silly way to reduce cholesterol. It might help in some small way if everything else is done right, too, (i’m guessing you saw some study, but is it peer reviewed? Valid? reproven through repeat testing?) I don’t know. But the biggest and smartest way to reduce cholesterol is to eat only to survive and maintain body function. Eating more than that is perilous to your health in many ways.

    Yes. My cholesterol is perfect and I eat everything from Walnuts to Pistachios.
