  • The thyroid is a gland. It affects the function of your heart, eyes, digestive system, hair, muscles, skin and your nervous system.

An alteration of the function of this gland can cause several symptoms.

There are two types of alterations of the thyroid: overactive and underactive & these 2 have other types.

The thyroid is one of the largest endocrine glands in the body. This gland is found in the neck inferior to (below) the mouth and at approximately the same level as the cricoid cartilage……..

A thyroid is a gland in your neck that controlls everything…. your growth and hormones and everything else. You can get a thryroid problem(underactive and hyperactive thyroid) but you can have two kind of treatments for it … radioactive therapy or you can be on medication.

My grandmother has a thyroid problem.
