  • For weight loss, I would suggest a liquid diet, nothing fancy, just stick to soups and light sandwiches, you’ll find the weight drop off…my best friend went from 220lbs to 140lbs. in 2 years.

    For Energy I use one thing…almonds, including almond soup, which is basically pureed almond with light cream. And Nuts in general are good for energy.

    Sleep aid – well I haven’t fully figured this one out, but hot bath before bed and warm milk usually helps me..

    Improved Memory – eat lots of fish, especially salmon or tuna very good for brain development.

    The Blues – Have some cake, your favorite kind, when you do this don’t worry about #1 it will counteract the effects.

    drink water for weight loss. A full stomach is a quiet stomach. Also switch to 6 small meals a day. Your stomach wont quite have time to empty before the next load is in. Avoid anything white – flour, sugar, fats.
    Energy. Strangely enough if you exercise you will have more energy.
    Sleep aid. Lay off the caffeine. get more exercise. even a walk after dinner would be good.
    Mental sharpness. The brain is a muscle use it, flex it. do crossword puzzles, sudoku, take a night class, find a pub with a trivia team, play chess or scrabble.
    Beating the blues. Look at the people you hang out with. Are you living in their soap opera? get out of it. You are allowed to be moody and have the blues from time to time [ or listen to the Moody Blues all the time!] but dont dwell on them. Lighten up. dont take yourself or anyone else so seriously. No one gets out of this life alive so you might as well have fun on the ride.

  • You sound exactly like me. I am starring your question as conditions are similar. Sudden weight gain, anxiety, depression and insomnia, tired all the time .   • ~ weight loss & curbing cravings ~ ditch processed sugar and eat foods in as close to their natural state as possible ….. fresh from God’s table mate ……. leafy and green vegies, lean meats and fishes, organic nuts and seeds like almonds, brazil nuts and sunflower and pumpkin seeds, low sugar fresh fruits like strawberries, blackberries, pears, cantalope and watermelon, cereals like brown rice and quinoa (pronounced keen-wah) ……… to curb cravings eat lean sources of protein like fish and lean chicken and lean meats …. organic nuts and seeds …….. only small amounts ….. all protein rich foods will help to curb cravings.

    ~ energy ~ drink more water and eat more complex carbs like wholegrain breads and cereals like brown rice, potatoes ….. no butter or margarine …….. just a bit of extra virgin cold pressed olive oil rich in vitamin E and good for heart health …… when you’re low on the good carbs your brain’s got to work a little too hard and your energy levels flag…….. drink more fresh filtered water too and ditch the sodas, pop, soft drinks and alcohol and cut right back on the caffeine too as they will only dehydrate you, wash out your precious B complex of vitamins and vitamin C too and the sodas add uneccesary processed sludgesugar to your diet.

    ~ sleep aid ~ eat more leafy and vegies like broccolli, kale, chard, celery, buk choy …….. all rich in calcium and magnesium which is so very essential for healthy heart bone and teeth health and for neural and digestive health .

    ~ mental sharpness / improved memory ~ water water water … stay hydrated and eat the brown rice or potatoes or wholegrain breads all rich in the B complex of vitamins …… particularly vitamin B1 (Thiamine) which is essential for healthy mental attitude and keeps the nervous system, muscles and heart functioning normally.

    By exercising and getting a high fiber diet this should help in all these area’s. The more you exercise and make the right food choices the better you will feel all over,loosing weight while getting healthy .Sure there are a lot of supplements you could take but this is a free natural remedy.You might want to take a good multi -vitamin and a B supplement not just B 12 ,you need them all especially for what you are focusing on. It will take time and discipline but will pay off in the end. Why produce expensive urine when it can be fixed very simply . Give it two weeks and see how you feel the supplements will take this long to work anyway.
