I need some advice from health professionals about careers?

I just don’t know what to do! I’m stressing out! 19 years old.Went to a state university for 3 semesters, first semester was bad but last 2 semesters were good. However I feel like I’m all over the place and I really don’t know what to do. Everyone else knows what they are doing with no trouble but then there’s me, I’m a little out there I want to try everything but not passionate about just one career besides just helping people. I really want to be in the medical field/health care, my ultimate goal being to use these skills to help in natural disasters, travel abroad to third-world countries and help people suffering from illness, but how do I achieve this? I took a break off school this winter semester to figure out what I want to do and it really sucks, I’m going crazy doing nothing(besides working part time at an annoying department store, no job openings at a hospital). Considering taking summer classes to catch up, I just don’t know what I should major in, whats the right career for my passion, the career center and counseling at my school really aren’t helping much, any insight? Please help me out!
yes i have always been interested in alternative medicine as i also am very against the use of drugs in medicine, vaccines, etc… however when i bring this up to people they often dismiss me as crazy. you seem very smart thanks for your advice

  • The biggest problems for health in the world are to be found in America today. It is far more a problem here at home than abroad. The health care system in America is far more broken and it should be called HEALTH ABUSE, not health care. To join that system will only bring great frustration and in many cases, harm people far more than help them.

If you really are truly seeking to help people, you should look at alternative medicine that is growing at a rapid rate because people are actually getting well. Teaching people about nutrition and how to become healthy is far more rewarding than what the health abuse system is promoting with drugs.

Approximately 783,000 people died of iatrogenic (doctor induced illnesses) in one year. That is more people dying of any single major disease in America (including heart disease, cancer, diabetes, stroke, etc.). Many BAD science’s are being promoted in the health abuse system in America today, including vaccines, antacids, chemotherapy, very bad pharmaceutical drugs, etc. that are damaging people everywhere.

EDIT: The truth about our medical system is being exposed more and more everyday. In fact, intelligent people are now looking at the facts and making intelligent decisions on things like vaccinations. They are opting out of that indoctrination that is using fear and bad statistics and bad information to promote it. It has become obvious to anyone doing a little research that our medical system is failing us on many levels. PROFIT has become the driving force, not real health. Drug companies are being caught defrauding the public, blatantly defending bad science, using big money to buy off politicians to promote their agendas and our government agencies are involved in a revolving door with BIG pharma. To be part of that system, you have to compromise yourself and ultimately your beliefs in helping humanity. That is NOT something anyone with good intentions and morals should do. The good people that are interested in real health and the truth end up fighting that system and becoming ridiculed for their educated stance and beliefs. Anyone that tells you vaccines are safe, just ask them why did Congress pass a law in 1986 protecting drug companies and doctors from prosecution for vaccine damaging people and then pay out $2 billion dollars to vaccine victims from tax dollars? Then ask them why vaccine manufacturers state clearly that no safety tests have been done on young children, pregnant women, and elderly while telling these people they are in the "At risk group" for getting vaccines?

    good luck to you

  • You have RN’s which in my state you can gain at a technical school or at the university. If you want after obtaining you RN would could get you master and become a NP which has prescribing rights. If you are a bit more ambitious could apply for pharmacy school (2-3 years pre-pharmacy course work(need high grade-point average) with another 4 year pharmacy school if you get in. Then there is PA school which you apply to after completing a degree usually chemistry/biology. There is also radiology tech but their isn’t usually a need for them in the mission field.
