What are all natural remedies to deal with anxiety? I'm aware of Valerian Root and Kava.?

I’m aware of Kava and Valerian root but I don’t want to be too sleepy, I get major anxiety and sometimes full blown panic attacks in class and those two are more for going to sleep. Any other natural remedies or ways to cope with anxiety, especially in the moment would be very helpful.

Anxiety, depression, nervousness, worry or stress can cause over 100 symptoms or health problems as as in http://au.search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A0oGkmYCx0ZQ5CUA.T4L5gt.?p=%22over+100+anxiety+symptoms%22&fr2=sb-top&fr=ush-ans&type_param=&rd=r1

Prescription medication for anxiety, stress, nervousness, depression and worry can give you bad side effects so natural remedies are often much better.

Natural remedies for anxiety, stress, nervousness, worry and depression include exercise, Yoga, Melatonin, 5-HTP, Valerian Root, other herbs, vitamin B complex and other remedies as in http://au.search.yahoo.com/search?p=%22natural+anxiety+remedies%22&fr=ush-ans

  • Yoga, Walking, and eating right are very important.
Just stretch more, drink less soda pops and tone down on any store bought foods that are processed.

  • Bacopa, gotu kola, and ashwagandha are good ones. Valerian can be addictive, and Kava can be relaxing towards bedtime.

There are several good teas that contain a mixture of herbs that can help you sleep. The Yogi night time teas are good, and there is a Sleepy Time extra that is better than regular sleepy time.

A touch of melatonin from time to time can help, be sure to take a good multi vitamin, and calcium/magnesium supplements as well.

Exercise lightly. Too much exercise will make it more difficult to sleep. Not enough makes it hard to sleep. Get some light exercise every day, even if it means just walking around the block a few times.

Don’t eat too much before bed. Avoid white flour and white sugar.

I have an mp3 player that will play while on a charger. I hook it up to an inexpensive set of computer speakers by my bed, and listen to rain or wind or relaxing sleep music at nights.

There is no single cure-all for anxiety. Each of the things I listed above will help a little, and every little bit helps.
