  • Dr Richard schulze’s supertonic is said by his customers to be THE cure for the common cold. Buy it at herbdoc.com by going to my products section.

He gave the recipe in his save your life videos.

get the following items: hottest cayenne you can handle, hot onions, garlic (lots), fresh horseradish root (I have seen this at some walmarts, giant eagle and meijers stores) and raw apple cider vinegar (can use regular in a pinch) get the raw vinegar (brand names are generally braggs or spectrum) at health food store or section.

If you have a vitamix, put all the ingredients in and blender but if you don’t fresh horseradish root is too hard and ill break a blender so grate it first.

then either eat as applesauce consistency (refrigerate) or add enough vinegar so when it settles in a glass jar it is 50 percent solids at the bottom and 50% liquid at the top..skim off some liquid..maybe a spoon or so every few hours.

shake daily and refrigerate..put in a paper bag to keep light ou tor use dark glass. after 2 weeks strain and label supertonic and put an expiration date of 5 years from when you made it though it will likely last longer.

  • Astragalus root…vitamin c and zinc are very good too

GINKGO BILOBA – A powerful antioxidant, which increases circulation to brain cells.

GOLDENSEAL – An antibacterial which strengthens the immune system and cleanses the blood (Don’t take internally for more than a week at a time or if pregnant).

ST. JOHN’S WORT- A blood purifier useful in cases of Epstein – Barr virus and HIV.

OLIVE LEAF – Effective against numerous viruses, bacteria and fungi. It has been used in the treatment of people with viral illnesses such as Epstein-Barr disease, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Herpes and AIDS.

SPIRULINA – Aids in protecting the immune system and cleansing toxins from the body. Though technically a nutrient, not an herb, spirulina is a naturally digestible food that helps protect the immune system and aids in mineral absorption. It helps balance blood sugar levels and supplies nutrients that help the body cleanse and heal.

Also take 3,000 mg of Vitamin C per day

  • Chinese herbal medicine has a number of cures for the common cold, depending on the effect on your system (cold, hot, phlegm, body aches, sore throat, etc.)

A common cure that works for 75-80% of people, if taken within the first 12-24 hours of conracting the cold, is called Yin Qiao (also spelled Yin Chiao). Most quality health foods stores carry it, usually from a company named Plum Flower.

The formula is pronounced "Yin Chow". Almost all Licensed Acupuncturists carry this formula, so you could look for someone close to you by searching at http://www.acufinder.com. If you prefer a Whole Foods or Natural Grocers type of business, just call around & ask them if they carry it.

Take the full dose listed on the label every 3 hours during the acute phase of the cold, then back of to one dose every 5 hours, until the cold is gone. Takes between 1-7 days, depending on how quickly you start taking it.

I recommend calling a Chinese herbalist / Acupuncturist, because this is only one formula to cure colds, and there may be a more appropriate formula for you, based on your constitutional response to catching colds.

A good alternative is fresh ginger root, that you should grind & steep as a tea. This is only strong enough to kick out a cold if taken immediately after symptoms start.

  • boil ginger root for like 2 min. the longer you boil the more bitter it becomes.then add lemon and honey to taste
